This painting is the on sale from my new "Big Sky" series, in which I explore the compositional influences of interesting skies on my artworks. I chose to capture the moment when sunlight breaks through a purple stormy sky to give us that special golden light. This is a very large painting, carefully balanced so that there is plenty of contrast between the foreground and background with lots of details and texture, and it would make a beautiful feature piece in your home or office.
